Let me start with this starry-eyed little girl who dreamed big. She knew that her surroundings were humble, but she also welcomed the abundance of love that her family shared with each other. The dreamer in her wanted the world to know that she had what it took to be an entertainer. Dolly looked at herself in the mirror; she just had to scoot a few family members out of the way. Dolly knew that she was talented and could hold her own, when it came to looks. This Tennessee beauty decided to tuck it, pluck it and pull it in if need be. She wore as many rhinestones as possible that she could muster. Dolly would become a Businessperson, Entertainer, Songwriter and heck, even a Comedian. Dolly could roll you over with her jokes. She was inducted into The Grand Ole Opry, Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame, Country Music Hall of Fame, and Grammy Hall of Fame. Not toot her own horn, but did you know that she could rock. This Tennessee gal is a “Rock Star”. She composed a rock star album, oh yeah, she's also in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. Her resources have reached charities, museums, Books of Life, Dollywood and Dolly Tennessean Travel Stop; just to name a few. Her heart has stretched long and wide but, make no mistake that her true love for Carl Thomas Dean was her deep devotion. My deep appreciation for Dolly's family for sharing her with the world. I have no doubt that Dolly Rebecca Parton, born January 19, 1946, came into the world like any other child, but she had other plans to become a star. She transitioned as Dolly Rebecca Parton Dean on August 25, 2026, with grace and spiritual peace. Dolly, I see you now and forever RIP.
